David Bowie

David Bowie is Vice President of SAS Australia and New Zealand and has been with the company since 2002. SAS is a leader in analytics and recognised as one of the world’s best places to work. Bowie’s passion is in creating a customer-first culture to create exceptional customer experiences at every touch-point. His commitment to promote innovation is evident from his work to bridge the region’s STEM and analytical skills gap, through establishing strong academic partnerships and his involvement in initiatives with industry and government. Between 2012 and 2016, Bowie was on the board of ADMA (The Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising) as Deputy Chair and Treasurer.

Andrew Condron

Andrew has a broad background of experiences including front line sales management and operations. His specialities are credit card and banking analytics; direct marketing and CRM; business intelligence; information management; credit scoring; and sales management. Andrew previously held roles as General Manager of Customer Analytics at Telstra and Head of Customer Analytics at ANZ.

Jane Eastgate

Jane has 20 years customer analytics experience in Retail, FMCG, Loyalty and 1 to 1 communications. Jane’s recent position as Head of flybuys Analytics at Coles was focused on personalising the customer shopping experience through offers and communications. She implemented and managed Advanced Analytics in Coles group of companies, sophisticating, optimising and automating business decisions across range, promotions, value investment, supply chain, loss and commercial decision making. Jane founded the Coles Analytics Advisory Board, its members comprising Global Retail Analytics Thought Leaders, and conceived and established a 2 year specialist Analytics Graduate stream as part of the broader Coles Graduate program which identifies, develops and nurtures upcoming analytical talent.

Tania has over 25 years of experience across different regions, companies (NAB, ANZ, BHP, Pacific Dunlop and Chartered Accounting) and industries including mining, manufacturing, professional services, transport, engineering, utilities and financial services. Tania is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and is the NAB representative on the BPAY Board.

Michael Gassmann

Michael manages the Pricing and Analytics Team insurance products for all Suncorp brands, including AAMI, Suncorp, GIO, and APIA. Michael has been responsible for the introduction of several innovative firsts in personal lines pricing in Australia, including individual address peril-based risk rating and individual customer price optimisation.

Jenny George

Dr Jenny George has been the CEO of Converge International since January 2016 and a board member of Converge since 2014. She previously held a number of posts at Melbourne Business School including Dean, Associate Dean – Academic Programs and the Director of the Master of Business Analytics. She joined MBS after undertaking PhD studies at Stanford University where she explored a problem in queueing theory of a queue with adjustable service rates. Jenny has previously held board appointments at Ridley College and Ansvar Insurance and is currently an advisory board member at JC Dahlsens, a hardware retailer.

Emma Gray

Emma Gray is an experienced global business executive with 20 years’ experience, creating brand and shareholder value through operational and advisory roles in the retail, consumer and banking sectors. Emma joined ANZ as Chief Data Officer in February 2017 where she is leading ANZ’s data strategy. Her focus is on how to leverage data for better customer and shareholder outcomes. Prior to joining ANZ, Emma spent three years at Woolworths as Chief Strategy Officer and subsequently their Chief Loyalty and Data Officer. Emma was a partner with Bain & Company, where she specialised in the retail and consumer segments, working across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom for 15 years.

Greg leads the analytics practice providing consulting services and creating innovative solutions for clients at Brightstar, a global business providing diversified services to participants in the wireless industry. His team has applied advanced analytics techniques to tackle client problems spanning marketing, pricing, supply chain optimisation, portfolio management, fraud, retail sales and operations, customer relationship management, insurance and leasing.

 

Lawrence Jackson

Lawrence Jackson is a management and marketing consultant with a special interest and passion for the philanthropic and charitable sector. He has served in a full time or consulting capacity to more than 45 organisations including leading not-for-profit organisations such as Vision Australia, University of Sydney, Multiple Sclerosis Limited, Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children, Benevolent Society, Royal Blind Society and many others. In addition, he has worked as an adjunct member of faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management and the University of Technology, Sydney. Lawrence has also acted as an arts consultant and producer.

Since her appointment as CEO of Australia’s largest independent research company in 1992, Michele has been responsible for the launch of Roy Morgan Single Source in other markets, and is driving the impressive global growth of the Company in major markets such as the USA and UK.

After receiving an MBA from Melbourne Business School, Brooke joined BP and has held a variety of roles including General Manager for Elite Customer Solutions, Regional Director for BP Solar Australasia, General Manager for BP Bitumen Australia, CFO for BP Asia Pacific and current role as Vice President Sales and Marketing for BP Australia. Brooke's career started in landscape architecture and town planning. Following university, she was involved in the design and construction of commercial scale projects for the best part of a decade.

Liz joined Telstra in 2011 as Director of Research, Insights and Analytics where she runs the functions of customer & product analytics, market research, competitive intelligence and CMO Capability and Platforms. Her passion is driving customer centricity into business decisions and turning the data assets of the business into profit and improvements in customer experience. She is dedicated to building teams of super smart, engaged people who effectively and efficiently combine disparate data sources to deliver insights, to result in tangible business outcomes. Prior to joining Telstra, Liz spent 13 years with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia working in the areas of market research, customer analytics and data driven marketing. She is past President of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and sits on the Global Analytics Advisory Council of IBM (Telecommunications).

Sheetal is an Executive Leader with over 18 years information transformation through data and analytics experience in the Financial Services, FMCG, Mining and Government industries both in consulting and executive management roles. She is a thought leader in advocating ‘Analytics as an embedded business process to drive change through decisions, insights to generate value’, and a master in innovating, developing, leading teams to drive business outcomes and changes in complex, challenging environments.

Sheetal is the Chief Data & Analytics Officer for the Macquarie BFS business and leads a team of over 110 practitioners. Previous to this role Sheetal was the global head of Analytics for Rio Tinto. Sheetal also has deep consulting experience at PwC and Deloitte where she was a Director and worked as an advisor to C suite in many organisations to drive data driven change and transformation programs.

Gideon is a member of Quantium's executive team where he leads Quantium’s international business. He is responsible for the development of the group’s international expansion strategy, market development and oversight of operations outside of Australia. He joined Quantium in 2013 to establish and lead the Melbourne Analytics and Insight practice where he worked closely with senior leaders from some of Australia’s most iconic consumer-led businesses across banking, retail, insurance and online. Gideon has held previous roles at National Australia Bank where he was part of the bank’s strategy, M&A and marketing teams, and in management consulting at Accenture.

Kearney, Enrico served as vice president of a supply management consultancy and successfully ran various business units over a 17-year career at leading Australian industrial companies.

He serves on the Board of the Institute for Analytics Professionals Australia (IAPA).

Prior to joining SEEK, Antony worked at National Australia Bank leading many ground-breaking teams and projects including the Credit Card Fraud Analytics Group (the first of its kind in Australia) which used data-driven insights to reduce fraud losses by more than 50 percent. In addition, he led the Customer Analytics team which identified more than $100 billion worth of revenue opportunities during his tenure. Antony has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in medical research and continues to teach in the School of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne.

He has adapted this approach to retail/SME banking, wealth management, insurance and other service industries across multiple markets with a specific focus on customer analytics.
